A member of the Santa Clara Pueblo Tribe of New Mexico, Louis Baca’s career has spanned the corporate, educational, private business and non-profit sectors for over 30 years.  He has served in varied capacities such as an educational technologist with the Intel Corporation; Interim Executive Director of the American Indian Graduate Center; Public Relations Manager at the Gila River Healthcare Corporation; Resource Development Specialist at Albuquerque Indian School; Senior Consultant with the Clements Group of Professional Fundraisers and Director of Development at the Los Alamos National Laboratory where he was responsible for the planning and implementation of a $25M major gifts campaign. 

After completion of his coursework on a Ph.D. in Education, Louis joined the Intel Corporation where he was instrumental in the development and implementation of the Intel Corporation’s $2.2 million dollar Native American Initiative.  The initiative provided schools on American Indian reservations in AZ and NM with state-of-the-art computer labs which promoted technical literacy and the innovative and culturally appropriate use of technology.  Louis also consulted on the planning and design of technology applications for the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C. 

He is the recipient of numerous awards including a Ford Foundation Fellowship; a Distinguished Service award from the American Indian Science and Engineering Society; and an Intel Achievement Award for exceptional service for the donation and deployment of educational technology to diverse and under-served communities.  Louis is an accomplished photographer and graphic designer whose work has been featured in Native Peoples magazine and nationally acclaimed American Indian art shows such as the Santa Fe Indian Market and the Heard Museum Indian Fair and Market.
